At The WOMB, we are often asked..

“Men have pelvic floors too?”

The answer is an emphatic “Yes they do! And…they matter more than you might think.”

Here are several reasons a man is encouraged to seek pelvic health physiotherapy support:

  • Bladder leaks or urgency
  • Prostate surgery prep and recovery
  • Erectile dysfunction or sexual health concerns
  • Hernia surgery prep and recovery
  • Pelvic, groin or testicular pain
  • Low back pain or core weakness
  • Ongoing sports injuries or tightness

These aren’t just ‘things to live with’, they are signs the body is asking for support.

Why Pelvic Health Physiotherapy?

Pelvic health physiotherapy helps restore strength, release tension, and improve coordination in a part of the body that is deeply connected to how we feel, function and move through every part of our day.

It’s not nearly as intimidating as it sounds. It is thoughtful, respectful and always guided by your own comfort.

The Bigger Picture

Many men quietly suffer with these issues due to stigma or because they’re unaware that support is available. Society often encourages men to suppress vulnerability and deal with problems on their own, making it harder to seek help.

Pelvic health physiotherapy is really about restoring function, confidence and comfort in the body, it’s not just about fixing symptoms.

If this is something affecting you or someone close to you, it’s definitely worth exploring. Pelvic health physiotherapy often helps sooner than people expect.

At The WOMB, we believe pelvic health physiotherapy is for women, children and MEN. Feeling at home in your body is important for everyone!
